Murakami- shoveling snow
There is a blockage in the boss(wastage) pipe somewhere, now all the gutter water is overflowing into the kitchen sink. Every time people in the other apartments start using water the level rises and floods the kitchen sink.
Solution, gather the GUTTER water from the sink and then dispose of it in the toilet.
It starts at 7am and stops around 9am. Then starts at 3pm till 7pm and then it doesnt stop until 11.30pm.
This is the third day of shoveling gutter water ( which stinks and includes the bits of food and what not the residents have neglected to filter off!!). I'm sick of the sight of that sink full of gutter water, worst still i'm starting to get use to the SMELL!!!
All this reminds me of Murakami and his metaphor of shoveling snow.... i wish was snow and not gutter stink! :(
